Delhi Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation Program

The goal of Delhi Outpatient Physical Rehabilitation program is to restore, reinforce, and enhance our patients' physical movement and abilities, all while promoting and maintaining their good health. Upon referral from a physician, our experienced therapists will develop an individualized program of care customized to fit the specific needs of each patient.

Patients who may benefit from therapy include those whose ability to function is impaired by injury, illness, or normal aging. Following a thorough evaluation, our therapist will work with each patient to improve their physical skills and abilities. Therapists will closely monitor their patients while helping them embark on their road to regaining functional skills.

Occupational Therapy services may include, but are not limited to:

Speech Therapy 

Speech Therapy is an intervention service that focuses on improving a person’s speech and abilities to understand and express language, including nonverbal language. Speech Therapists help people of all ages with different speech and language disorders. A person may be referred for speech therapy for a hearing impairment, weak muscles around the mouth, cleft lip or palate, vocal nodules/hoarseness, autism, breathing disorder, or swallowing disorder. 



Lezlee Shauf (left) and Mary Green (right) are Speech-Language Pathologists at Delhi Hospital. Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) are experts in assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and swallowing disorders. SLPs hold a master's or doctoral degree in speech-language pathology from an accredited program and are licensed in all states. Speech Therapist help people of all ages with different disorders such as:

Respiratory Therapy


The Respiratory Department assists patients with breathing problems through the administering of prescribed doses of medical gases and aerosolized drugs. The Respiratory Department also conducts Laboratory testing for diagnostic and prognostic purposes.

Respiratory Department Respiratory therapy services are provided to medical patients ranging from infants to the elderly, both on an inpatient and an outpatient basis. These services are provided according to the physician's orders and as specified by the medical staff and approved by the governing body, consistent with Louisiana state law. Respiratory Therapy services are provided on a 24 hour basis. All Respiratory Therapists at Delhi Hospital are BLS and ACLS certified. A licensed Respiratory Therapist is available 24 hr/day, 7 days/week.
